Everything here is based on real-world data, detailed conversations with installers, and how heat pump systems actually perform in homes like mine.
I’ve been on a renewable energy journey in my own home since 2018, running Energy Stats UK since 2019, and living with our Vaillant heat pump since 2022.
Along the way I’ve completed Heat Geek training, hosted the Energy Unwrapped podcast, interviewed people across the industry, and shared my own home energy data publicly.
All of that gives me a clear view of what good and poor heat pump installations can look like in the real world.
This is not intended to be the biggest installer directory in the UK. I would rather publish a smaller list of companies I am prepared to recommend homeowners speak to than a long list that tells people very little.
This is my own hand-picked installer list. Every installer here is included because I believe they are worth speaking to.
That does not mean every installer will be right for every home, or that I can guarantee the outcome of any individual installation. Any contract, quote, survey, design, installation, workmanship, aftercare or warranty remains between you and the installer.
Use this list as a recommended shortlist rather than a random directory. Read my notes, watch the interviews where available, ask proper design questions, compare quotes, and make your own decision before going ahead.
